Will 2015 prove to be the year with the most tricked trucks ever assembled for off-road race? The brutal, Casey Folks designed race course is sure to get the heart racing!
330 off-road teams are headed to Las Vegas today to prepare for The 2015 Polaris RZR MINT 400 presented by General Tire. The Mint 400 is known as “The Great American Off-Road Race” and Las Vegas is excited to be hosting beginning tomorrow, March 11th through Saturday the 14th.
The 2015 Polaris RZR General Tire Mint 400 will storm into Las Vegas tomorrow afternoon beginning with a parade that will kick off at 1:00pm with the Vehicle Procession beginning at the South Point Casino and ending at Fremont Street. Las Vegas roads will be affected, check out the road closure map here. The "Mint 400 4 Wheel Parts Vehicle Parade will be followed by The KMC Wheels Pit Crew Challenge Qualifying presented by Mystic Lubricants," at 10th and Fremont Street beginning at 4pm.
With an "estimated forty thousand off-road racers, fans and enthusiasts" expected to descend upon “Sin City” to party, spectate, and celebrate during the four day off-road racing festival of speed, you are sure to catch some of the action, on site, online at Race-Dezert.com or during the 4+ hours of televised NBC prime time TV. Tens of thousands will be on site as the "massive field of competitors makes The Mint 400 the largest off-road race in North America." with the a Primm Valley start/ finish line, the Mint has increased the viewing area this year to accommodate the massive crowds.
"The Mint was born in 1967, giving it the unique distinction of the oldest and most prestigious off-road race in America. It is now part of the The Best in Desert Championship race series, and continues to grow in fame and attendance, thanks to the vision of the owners – The Martelli Brothers and their dedicated team at Mad Media and The Mint 400 Inc.Notable entries to this years Mint 400 battle are returning two-time Mint 400 Champion Andy McMillin, NASCAR and off-road legend Robby Gordon, Las Vegas native and Mint 400 Champion “Ballistic” BJ Baldwin, off-road champion Rob MacCachren, and off-road Champion Tavo Vildosola. Off-Road legend Larry Ragland will serve as Grand Marshal and drop the checkered flag at the start of the race on Saturday, March 14th at the Mint 400 Primm Valley Start/Finish Line."
