It reported rents are up 12.1 percent over the last year to $850 a month, just $27 or 3 percent below the peak in 2007. The vacancy rate fell 1.3 percentage points in the past year and is at its level since 2007 at 7.9 percent, according to Lied."

Henderson Nevada is the second largest city in Nevada and part of the largest school district, Clark County School District (CCSD). Henderson, known as "the other side of Southern Nevada," it is a young city by standards of how long it has been around and has nearly 2 million residents, and was recognized as one of the fastest growing cities by the US Census because of its growth between 1990-1998. 

The Clark County School District is the fifth largest school district in the country with more than 320,000 students enrolled making up approximately 75% of all Nevada school age residents. With 356 schools, CCSD is the largest employer in Nevada with 40,000 employees over an 8,000 mile coverage area. 5 Clark County schools were ranked among the best in the country.

In addition to being a K-12 school district, "The district offers nationally recognized Magnet Schools and Career & Technical Academies as well as an online secondary school (Nevada Learning Academy) and several International Baccalaureate programs available to elementary, middle and high school students.
